Old Presque Isle Lighthouse
Built in 1840, Old Presque Isle Lighthouse was the first in the area. In 1861, President Abraham Lincoln named Patrick Garrity as the lightkeeper of this lighthouse. The area also has the New Presque Isle Lighthouse that was built in 1870.

Middle Island Light Station is located in Lake Huron, midway between Thunder Bay island and Presque Isle. This area features seven buildings on the island, including a light tower, Keepers Quarters, an oil house, a tool garage, a fog horn and others.
